She utilizes the DIR® model which focuses on the child's emotional developmental level, individual differences in sensory processing, language, motor abilities and emotional regulation, and on fostering the growth of relationships with caregivers and siblings, which are often derailed by the child's biological differences. She prefers to start ongoing work with children under the age of 7, although will do consultations for other therapists on older children. She also does school and agency consultations for all ages of children and is available to do presentations on DIR®, facilitating play, sexuality in individuals with ASD and developmental disabilities, when and how to tell a child that they have an ASD, and issues for siblings of children with ASD.
