Info on Committees
GVPA has established several committees to ensure effective operation and to help address specific things:
The Membership and Recruitment Committee
Consists of a Chairperson and at least one additional member who is appointed by the President with the Executive Board’s input. The Membership and Recruitment Committee is expected to implement Article II of the By-laws.
The Nominations and Elections Committee
Operates according to Article IV of the By-laws to manage the nomination and election process.
The Program Committee
Is led by a Chairperson and one other member appointed similarly, is responsible for recommending and arranging GVPA events and meetings.
The Newsletter Committee
Also consists of a Chairperson and one additional member publishes GVPA’s seasonal newsletters.
The Insurance Committee
Oversees insurance matters, including liability and third-party payments, and advises the Executive Board on related policies.
The Electronic Media/Website Committee
Manages the Association's website and other electronic media, ensuring accessibility and relevance, and oversees membership access.
The Student Committee
Is made up of student members, helps to promote student engagement within the Association, with its Chairperson representing student interests at Executive Board meetings without voting rights.
