This practical session covered current NYS telehealth policy shifts, confidentiality and consent issues, recent research on telehealth effectiveness, developmentally appropriate engagement for children and adolescents, ERP adaptations for OCD, and useful digital tools for teletherapy.

Robert H Goldstein joined the University of Rochester's Department of Psychiatry in 1958, and remained there for 36 years.Dr. Goldstein has served in a wide variety of clinical and administrative roles, including Director of Training in Psychology and 16 years as Chief of Psychology at the U of R Medical Center. His interest and experience with hypnosis led to his serving as hypnosis consultant to many local police departments and to being appointed as the Western NY Hypnosis Consultant to the FBI. Dr. Goldstein has provided clinical hypnosis inductions to approximately 4000 patients over the past six decades (sic) to treat behavioral and bio-medical issues. Dr. Goldstein also served on the Board of Education for the Rush-Henrietta Central School District, and as president of that Board for four years. He is also a past president of the Genesee Valley Psychological Association.
Dr. Goldstein will provide an overview of the history of hypnosis, with emphasis on the 20th and 21st century research and clinical practice of hypnosis.
