Dr. Leitgeb provides treatment for adolescents, adults, couples and families. Areas of special interest include: stress management, marriage and family issues, adolescent behavioral disorders and the diagnosis and treatment of A.D.D./A.D.H.D. in all ages (including adults). Treatment modalities employed include: individual therapy, couples/marital therapy, and family therapy. The treatment orientation is eclectic, but often falls within the parameters of cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal models. Dr. Allison Mauro, DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and owner of Rochester DBT Institute. Dr. Mauro recently returned to Rochester after living in Chicago, Illinois for the past 20 years.

Dr. Mauro earned her undergraduate degree at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Dr. Mauro has foundational training and advanced training in standard DBT by Behavioral Tech. Dr. Keshishian is a Clinical Psychologist who works in private practice with children, teens and their families. Dr. Evelyn Meier Lynch earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her PhD in Clinical Psychology at American University in Washington, DC. Dr. Lynch completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) and her postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive Behavioral Consultants, LLP specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma, and research. Dr. Sergent is a licensed psychologist providing group, individual and couples therapy to adults. Dr. Cypher is a Clinical and Sport Psychologist with UR Medicine Orthopaedics and Physical Performance. He is the only New York State Licensed Psychologist in the Greater Rochester area to also be recognized as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®, as administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Dr. Cypher has over a decade of experience working as a psychologist with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes and their families. He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he serves as a Sport Psychologist, heads up Performance Psychology within the department, and is the Lead of the Mindset Training program for UR Medicine Fitness Science, a multidisciplinary program for holistic athlete development. Dr. Cypher is a member of the American Psychological Association's Division for Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. He is listed in the Mental Performance and Mental Health Directoies for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and is an independent mental health and performance provider as part of the Major League Baseball Players Association Mental Health Directory.

Dr. Bob Insull is a retired NY State Licensed Psychologist with more than 55 years experience teaching, training, and treating in the arena of human behavior. In his clinical practice, he has worked across the developmental stages (children to golden-agers), across the diagnostic spectrum (chemical dependency, severe mental illness, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and PTSD), and treatment settings (clinics, inpatient psychiatric centers, and private practice). During the closing years of his practice, he became interested in the area of psychological trauma and worked with survivors in individual and group settings. Natalie Nordlund, PsyD NCSP, is a licensed psychologist dedicated to building connections with children, teenagers, and young adults. With experience in both clinical and educational environments, she has worked with a diverse range of clients, offering both remote and in-person services. Her expertise includes individual and group therapy, wellness and mental health programming, and consultation. Dr. Nordlund has a keen interest in helping clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, life transitions, grief and loss, healthy emotional coping, social skills, relationship navigation, and the effects of trauma. She takes pride in supporting clients who struggle with self-expression, including those experiencing shyness, trust issues, ASD, and resistance to therapy.

Dr. Nordlund earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Drake University, followed by her M.Ed. in Psychology, Ed.S. in School Psychology, and Psy.D. in School Psychology from The Chicago School (formerly The Chicago School of Professional Psychology). As a licensed psychologist and a nationally certified school psychologist, she employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including expressive-based and creative therapies, narrative therapy, play therapy, and trauma-focused CBT.

I received my BA, MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Rochester. During my undergraduate years, I also studied voice at the Eastman School of Music. After graduation, I worked with maltreated adolescents at the Mt. Hope Family Center, where I later began research to better understand how beliefs about control relate to clinical symptomatology in high-risk youth. After completing a Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester Counseling Center (UCC), I joined the faculty as a Staff Psychologist and ultimately became the Director of UCC until I resigned in 2012 to pursue full time private practice.During my 10+ years in college mental health, I provided supervision and consultation to many professionals who were in training to learn the practice of psychotherapy. I also provided consultation and educational workshops to many diverse individuals and groups of faculty and staff on the University of Rochester campus and the broader community. The basis of any good counseling relationship is finding someone you can connect with and who seems to "get you". I strive to provide an environment that facilitates trust, respect, compassion and understanding for your uniqueness. I work in a proactive, collaborative, flexible and transparent way. Dr. Mitchell received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and his Psy.D. from Baylor University. After completing his pre-doctoral internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, he remained there and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Mitchell has previously been a consulting psychologist for the Orleans and Wyoming County Mental Health Centers as well as the East Rochester school district. Dr. Mitchell is currently a consulting psychologist for the Ontario and Genesee County Mental Health Centers. Dr. Mitchell also provides clinical consultation/evaluation for the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES program. Dr. Mitchell is a Past President of GVPA. Dr. Larson maintains a full-time private practice in general adult psychotherapy, and sees both individuals and couples. He is a cognitive-behavioral therapist and is a certified member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Larson has a particular interest in working with patients with anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. He also works extensively with patients with chronic medical problems. Dr. Larson is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he teaches their psychiatry residents and psychology interns. Dr. Griffin is a NYS licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist who provides treatment services for children through young adults (Ages 4-30). Dr. Griffin specializes in behavioral, emotional, and school related concerns, especially all anxiety disorder, depression, other mood disorders, ADHD and other disruptive behavior disorders, family issues, and special-education/section 504 consultation. Dr. Griffin is well acquainted with clients on the autism spectrum and adolescents and young adults working through various identity issues. Dr. Griffin is a positive and affirming ally to all his LGBTQ+ clients. He has considerable experience supporting the transition to young adulthood. Dr. Griffin is an experienced cognitive-behavioral therapist who incorporates strategies of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), positive psychology, and interpersonal and family systems theories to help clients maximize positive change and growth in their lives.
